Olive Leaf Extract

Olive leaves mainly contain sesiridoids and their glycosides, flavonoids and their glycosides, biflavonoids and their glycosides, low molecular tannins and other components, with sesiridoids being the main active ingredients. 

The main components of olive leaf extract are iridoids, bitter substances, and the most active ones are oleuropein and Hydroxytyrosol. It is widely used in health products and cosmetics.


Function

Broad spectrum antibacterial effect
Inhibits interference with the growth of special viruses and bacteria; research also proves that the extract only attacks pathogens and is harmless to human symbiotic intestinal bacteria, which is another advantage over artificial antibiotics.

Antioxidant effect
Oleuropein protects the skin, prevents ultraviolet rays from decomposing skin membrane lipids, prevents the anti-glycan reaction of cell membranes, and maintains skin softness and elasticity.

Strengthen immune system
Olive leaf extract has been successfully used in the treatment of patients with medically unexplained conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. This may be a result of its direct stimulation of the immune system.

Helps treat cardiovascular disease
Some cardiovascular diseases also respond well to the use of olive leaf extract. Olive leaf extract may reduce discomfort caused by insufficient arterial blood flow, including angina and intermittent claudication. It helps eliminate atrial fibrillation (arrhythmia), lowers high blood pressure and inhibits oxidation to produce LDL cholesterol.
