What is Brich Bark Extract?
Brich Bark Extract obtained from Betula Alba (Birch) bark. Birch bark is an effective remedy against malaria and pneumonia. It is an excellent remedy to heal wounds, to get a low pressure up, and to relieve headaches.It is well known that birch bark is rich in betulin (birch camphor), approximately one third of the dry weight of the bark. Birch tree was dubbed White Gold in the Boreal Forest because of its beneficial biological effect.
What is the function of Brich Bark Extract?
Birch bark contains tannins, triterpenoids, polysaccharides, biotin, vitamins, amino acids and minerals, especially betulin acid (pentacyclic triterpenoids), which can inhibit the activity of human melanoma cells, make its extract have whitening, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and astringent effects, enhance skin barrier function and hydration, and reduce water loss in cuticle layer. Reduce skin irritation, suitable for dry, oily skin care.
