What is Milk Thistle Extract?

Milk Thistle Extract Powder, made from the dried fruit of Silybum marianum G., the main ingredients are flavonoids such as silymarin, silybin, myristic acid, palmitoleic acid, arachidic acid, etc., and its properties are light yellow to brownish yellow.
Silybin is the ingredient with the highest content of silymarin powder. Silymarin milk thistle extractcan scavenge free radicals, resist lipid peroxidation, protect liver cell membranes, rep.

What is the function of Milk Thistle Extract?
1. Liver protectant
Milk thistle seed extract can inhibit lipid peroxidation in the liver, help balance the fluidity of cell membranes, inhibit the release of superoxide anions from neutrophils, and reduce liver inflammation. Studies have shown that silibinin can reduce the production of reactive oxygen species and oxidative substances such as malondialdehyde;
2. Prevent fibrosis
A number of studies have shown that organic milk thistle extract can resist oxidation, directly inhibit the activation of various cytokines on hepatic stellate cells, and resist liver fibrosis;
3. Reduce blood fat
Milk Thistle Extract Powder can reduce the content of triglyceride (TG) in the liver and the level of serum TG and total cholesterol (TCh), and can effectively regulate blood lipid levels and avoid hyperlipidemia diseases;
4. Prevent inflammation
Silybum marianum seed extract can reduce the levels of various inflammatory cytokines, such as: IL-8, IL-6, MCP-1 and TNF-α, inhibit the activity of IKK-β and p50, p65, and then inhibit the action of NF-κB to treat inflammation ;
5. Milk thistle fruit extract has a protective effect on cardiomyocytes infected by Coxsackie B5 virus, can increase the tolerance of cardiomyocytes to hypoxia and glucose deficiency, and resist the damage of isoproterenol and glucose-deficient cardiomyocytes.
